For iPhone, iOS 27

Your headphones, the way they should sound.

Earluma corrects the sound of Spotify, Apple Music and every other app for your exact headphones, using lab measurements of that model. Choose it once in Control Center and keep listening in the apps you already use.

Free to download. The generic correction for any headphones is free.

How it works

iOS 27 lets an app appear as an audio output. Earluma uses that to sit between your music and your headphones.

  1. Pick Earluma in Control Center

Open Control Center, tap the audio output button and choose Earluma. It appears in the same list as your headphones.

  2. Play anything

Music from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube or any other app now goes through Earluma, on your iPhone.

  3. Hear the correction

Earluma applies the filter for your headphones and plays the result on them. Flip between Original and Earluma to compare.

What the correction does

Every headphone model colours sound in its own way: a bit too much bass here, a sharp peak in the treble there. Lab measurements show exactly where, for each model.

Earluma uses the published lab measurements of your exact model to compute an EQ that brings it close to a research target for natural sound. It runs as a minimum-phase filter on your iPhone.

Questions

Which headphones work?

All of them get the free generic correction: over-ear, in-ear, wired or Bluetooth. For a measured profile, your model needs to be in the catalogue, so search for it in the app. Profiles come from published lab measurements, and the catalogue grows as new measurements appear. If yours is missing, you can request it in the app.

Does it work with Spotify?

Yes. Earluma works at the audio output of your iPhone, so Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, podcast apps and anything else that plays sound go through it. You don't change anything inside those apps.

Which iOS version do I need?

iOS 27 or later. iOS 27 is the first version that lets an app appear as an audio output in Control Center, which is how Earluma reaches the sound of other apps.

Does my audio leave my iPhone?

No. All processing happens on your iPhone. Earluma has no account, no ads and no third-party analytics. Read the privacy policy.

How does the 10-minute preview work?

Each measured profile can be heard free for 10 minutes of listening, once. When the time is up, Earluma goes back to the generic correction until you buy that profile or unlock All Access.

Where do the measurements come from?

Each measured profile is computed from published, independent lab measurements of that exact model. Headphone brand names are trademarks of their owners, and Earluma is not affiliated with them.

How do I cancel the free trial?

In the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Earluma. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you won't be charged. More on the support page.
